IntelliGenome Appoints SIMED as Exclusive Distributor for CRISPR-TB™ in Peru and Ecuador
Houston, Texas and Quito, Ecuador – September 8, 2026– IntelliGenome, Inc. today announced the appointment of SIMED S.A. as its exclusive distributor for the CRISPR-TB™ Blood Test in Peru and Ecuador.
IntelliGenome received DIGEMID registration approval for the CRISPR-TB Blood Test in Peru, enabling commercial distribution in one of the region's most important tuberculosis markets. Under the new partnership, SIMED will initiate the product registration process in Ecuador.
CRISPR-TB is an innovative molecular blood test that detects circulating Mycobacterium tuberculosis cell-free DNA, representing a novel non-sputum approach to tuberculosis detection.
SIMED was selected for its strong expertise in tuberculosis diagnostics, molecular laboratory solutions, and established relationships with hospitals, reference laboratories, and public health institutions throughout Peru and Ecuador.
