Marketing Specialist
Position summary
The Marketing Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert for the Marketing segment of the company. This individual will apply scientific expertise and market research to identify key application needs and market development trends and opportunities for overall market growth while also enabling customers to accelerate their science in clinical and molecular research.
Description
- Author technical and application notes, articles, and marketing materials.
- Act as a liaison between the company and its customers.
- Assist to create molecular testing methods and workflows for clinical research purposes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and utilize data/results for marketing purposes.
- Assist to design and execute experiments to facilitate the introduction of new products.
- Present methods and workflows at conferences and meetings.
- Train sales teams and customers on our workflows and product propositions.
- Provide sales support by interacting with commercial teams.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, molecular biology, related science field, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemistry, molecular biology, or related science field. Advanced degree in related science field preferred.
- 3 years of hands-on molecular testing and sample prep.
- Expertise in method and applications development.
- Strong knowledge of sample preparation for molecular applications.
- Familiarity with clinical research industries.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills required.
- Ability to develop credibility and network with proven and positive professional relationships.
- Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization with cross functional teams is essential.
- Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and troubleshoot independently.
- Ability to travel up to about 25% of domestic travel.

R & D Scientist – MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS
IntelliGenome designs, develops, manufactures, and markets unique products used by hospital laboratories to diagnosis for infectious diseases. We are a small, growing company that offers a relaxed but challenging work environment with opportunities to gain experience using the latest molecular biology tools.
Do you like to experiment with DNA and RNA?? Are you familiar with the chemistry of nucleic acid?? We are seeking an eager scientist to assist with the design, development and validation of IVD products for molecular diagnostic tests.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts general laboratory procedures and analyses using a variety of manual molecular biology techniques and instrumentation.
- Help to identify experimental problems and inconsistencies and aid in the troubleshooting of these problems based on learned knowledge, skills, and the expertise of other staff.
- Work as a team member to assist in the design, development, validation and manufacturing of new products for molecular diagnostic tests according to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
- Organizes data, assist in the interpretation of results and make suggestions for future experiments and product improvements. Participate in experimental design and protocol development.
- Participate in bringing products from design to validation according to FDA regulations and prepare appropriate reports and documents.
Required Qualifications
Education
B.A. or B.S. in biology, chemistry and relevant experience or an A.S. degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a relevant discipline.
Experience
- Hands-on molecular biology experience using a variety of techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with general molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, amplification and PCR is highly desired.
