Intelligenome Expands APAC Presence with Establishment of Hangzhou Intelligenome Biotechnology Co.,
Intelligenome is pleased to announce the establishment of its wholly owned company, Hangzhou Intelligenome Biotechnology Co., Ltd., on May 20, marking an important milestone in the company’s continued growth and regional expansion across APAC.
The new Hangzhou-based entity reflects Intelligenome’s commitment to strengthening local support, advancing research collaboration, and expanding access to innovative molecular diagnostic research solutions across the region.
Wilson Zhang, MD, MSc, CEO of Intelligenome, and Tony Hu, Ph.D., AIMBE Fellow, Founder and Chief Science Advisor, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Hangzhou. During the visit, they met with the local team and discussed opportunities to further support regional partnerships, clinical research collaboration, and long-term growth across APAC.
This milestone represents an important step in Intelligenome’s broader mission to advance molecular diagnostic research through innovative technologies. Among these efforts is CRISPR-TB, a blood-based cfDNA approach designed to support independent evaluation of tuberculosis detection in challenging clinical scenarios, including cases where traditional sample-based testing may be limited.
Tuberculosis remains a persistent global health challenge, and diagnostic gaps continue to affect timely detection and research progress in many settings. By expanding its regional presence, Intelligenome aims to work more closely with research partners, clinical collaborators, and institutions across APAC to help support continued innovation in TB research and beyond.
